Jakku Speeders

Seen briefly in THE FORCE AWAKENS, these two craft were made when the 3D printers were fully occupied and so had to be mostly scratch built.

I made all the patterns and vac-formed them and got the basic shape together, figuring out how Chris Trices brass frame would slot into it all. Bill made the screen and things like bucket seats, steering columns and cylindrical engines, were printed. After I made the rear engine fins and the woven matting on the front, I then painted and weathered them and mounted them on stands.

Even though you could already buy the design at ARGOS as a micro-machine (first image), utmost secrecy was demanded. Ive waited a long time to share these.
